The Congress of College Teachers (CONUA) has kicked towards the remittance of its members’ check-off dues to the Educational Employees Union of College (ASUU).
It lamented that its members throughout the branches within the nation complained that union dues deducted from their salaries are being remitted to ASUU.
A press release by the Nationwide Coordinator of CONUA, Dr. Niyi Sunmonu, made out there to reporters in Osogbo, Osun State, stated: “CONUA has written the Accountant Normal of the Federation to ask for stoppage of the remittance of CONUA members’ check-off dues to ASUU with the hope that the matter might be investigated and addressed.”
Sunmonu alleged that the management of ASUU by way of its president unilaterally withdrew cash working into hundreds of thousands of Naira in 2017 from the account of the OAU department.
